- Your recordings are yours. We process them only to coach you.
- Export or delete everything yourself, any time, in Settings.
- Video can stay on your device — switch off “Save video” and it never uploads.
- No ad trackers, no analytics scripts. Cookies only keep you signed in.
- Named providers transcribe, score, and coach on our behalf — never to train their models.
Who we are
A founder-run product; the legal entity will be named here when it exists.
Communicado (“we”) is an AI communication-coaching product operated by its founder. It has not yet incorporated as a company; when it does, this page will name the legal entity. For anything in this policy, write to hamezreigns@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your account, your takes, what our analysis derives from them, and your progress.
- Account. Your email address, display name, and which sign-in you use (magic link, Google, or Apple). We never see or store a password.
- Your takes — audio. When you record a practice take or your onboarding baseline, the audio uploads to private storage so we can analyse it.
- Your takes — video. Only if “Save video” is on. Switched off, the video never leaves your device — we upload the audio plus a small set of numbers describing presence (eye contact, gesture, posture, expression) that your own browser computes.
- What the analysis produces. A transcript, scores across the foundations, a coach note, and a compact delivery timeline for each take.
- Progress. Streaks, milestones, lesson and watch progress, and your foundation history over time.
- Plan. Which plan you are on — and nothing more. Payments are handled by Polar; your card details never touch our systems.
- Email preference. Whether you have opted out of coaching emails.
Worth knowing: the landing-page demo and the live cues while you practise run entirely in your browser. That audio and video is processed on your device and never uploaded.
How we use it
To coach you, show your progress, and send the emails you asked for. Nothing else.
We use your data to run the coaching loop (transcribe → score → coach), show your progress on Home, Journey, and Wrapped, send emails you have asked for (the weekly recap and the streak nudge — both opt-out), enforce the free tier’s three-analyses-a-week limit, and keep the service working. We do not advertise to you, sell your data, or use it for anything unrelated to coaching you.
Where it goes
A short list of providers, each doing one job for us.
These providers process data on our behalf, each for one purpose:
- Supabase (EU region) — sign-in, database, and private storage for recordings.
- Vercel — hosts the app.
- Trigger.dev — runs the analysis job after each take.
- Modal — audio processing (pace, pitch, volume, and similar measurements).
- OpenAI — transcribes your take’s audio.
- Anthropic — writes your coach note from the transcript and scores.
- Polar — merchant of record for Pro subscriptions.
- Resend — sends coaching emails (when enabled).
- Cloudflare Stream — streams lesson videos (when enabled).
- Google / Apple — only if you choose them for sign-in.
They process your data only to provide their service to us. Our AI providers do not use API data to train their models, per their API terms. Some process data outside the EU; those transfers rely on standard contractual safeguards.
Storage & retention
Private storage, kept until you delete it — then it is gone at once.
Recordings live in private storage and are reachable only through short-lived signed links. We keep your takes and analyses until you delete them or your account — there is no silent expiry. Delete your account and everything goes at once: profile, takes, analyses, progress, streaks, milestones, lesson progress, coach briefs, and the recordings themselves.
Your rights
GDPR rights, shipped as buttons instead of email threads.
- Access & portability. Settings → “Export my data” — one zip containing a readable recap of everything above, your recordings, and the complete raw JSON.
- Erasure. Settings → “Delete account” — immediate, irreversible, and self-serve.
- Rectification. Edit your display name and coaching focus in Settings.
- Objection & withdrawal. Turn coaching emails off in Settings, or use the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email we send.
You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. For anything not covered by a button, write to hamezreigns@gmail.com and we will handle it.
Children
Not for anyone under 16.
Communicado is not directed at children and is not for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update the date and tell you when it matters.
When this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means the new version applies.
